well today was rather... what should i say...normal?
first off, titration was irritating for me during chem prac. why is it that i always get screwed up apparatus... must be cos nobody really cares about the people abandoned at the side. firstly, the sucker i had (the thingy that sucks up the liquid into the pipette) was spoilt. i think it had some hole, so everytime after pipetting, the liquid would start dripping out without me doing anything. so i had to go change it
then, for some reason the liquid always turned purple when i let the alkali flow into the conical flask. then ms evelyn tan saw and immediately penalised me for not washing properly. then i washed 5 more times, and it still was like that! i was so pissed! so i had to ask her why it was still like that. and turns out, the stupid deionized water i was using had been contaminated with some indicator that was colourless in water, but purple in alkalis! grrrrrr! according to qin xiang its methylbenzene, which must have been from a previous practical by the express or year 4 classes. so bad you know! put in the deionized water! and i dont think she even removed the penalty... not even my fault lor...
and finally the dropper for my methyl orange was spoilt... had a huge slit down the side, so it couldnt work properly. in the end, i had to tilt it on its side and then only i could use it. so troublesome.
well for PE, we didnt do 2.4, for who knows what reason, but instead we did sit-ups. it was the only station we did since there wasnt much time left. haiz. make us all hyped up for nothing...
now iop... i'm really angry that the people are being allowed to go overtime, and ms bose doesnt even bother to stop them! the rubrics explicitly states must keep within the maximum 8 minutes time limit, and she herself said that she will not give any marks for stuff presented after the first 8 minutes. if she doesnt even care about the time limit, whats the use of having a timer, and how is this fair to other people who kept strictly to the time limit, and had so take out some parts of the presentation just so that it could fit in the time limit, just like me! i'm so so so so so angry!
for example, today ryan presented. sure, his content was good, he actually had a very good analysis and interpretation. but what ticked me off was that he took 11+minutes to present, and ms bose dint say a word about it! moreover, eugene presented for 15+minutes! not that ms bose was very happy with his presentation, and i can say neither was i. it was more like he was reading quote after quote from the book, with minimal analysis... and what he was doing was mainly quoting EVERYTHING in the book (which was a lot) that had to do with his topic. please lah, wanna go over time, give a proper presentation! i still cant get over the fact that ms bose doesnt care about running overtime lor...
haiz... well went to brian's hse after school. first time i actually went to his house. last time was only the tennis court... lol. rather sweet place.
well too lazy to write anymore.
